Lewis Hamilton – Day 2

I didn’t get as far with this as I’d hoped yesterday, I got distracted by something on the TV – congratulations Valtteri Bottas on your first win!

I’m still making corrections about where everything goes. I had to move the airbox a bit to the right, move the front tyre a bit further right etc.

Keeping the dark areas dark enough is a bit of a challenge. When you paint wet-on-wet the colours tend to mix together if you don’t apply the right amount of pressure with the brush. I had the same problem with the yellow helmet. For some reason yellow is a particularly difficult colour to lay down on top of other wet paint. No worries though at a later stage I’ll just wait a day or so for the paint to dry a bit and then reinforce the yellow.
